A huge congratulations—and an even bigger thank you—to every member of the MS Research & Relief Fund team who completed the 2026 Great North Run.

This year, we were incredibly proud to have our largest team of runners to date taking on the iconic 13.1-mile route from Newcastle to South Shields.

Together, our runners have raised more than £15,000! An absolutely incredible amount.

Every donation will help us continue providing free, physiotherapist-led services from Benmar House in Morpeth, the Pashler Physiotherapy Centre in North Seaton and through our wider outreach work.

The annual cost of delivering our work has now risen to more than £800,000. We receive no statutory or NHS funding towards our services, so the commitment of our fundraisers—and the generosity of everyone who supports them—is incredibly important.

Completing a half marathon is a huge achievement and we are enormously grateful to each of our runners for choosing to represent MSRRF and for giving their time, energy and effort to support our charity.

Inspired to take on a challenge?

Whether you are an experienced runner, considering your first event or looking for a completely different fundraising challenge, we would love to have you on our team. Don't forget we've partnered with Run For Charity - with a whole host of events available.

By fundraising for MSRRF, you will be helping us ensure that people affected by MS can continue accessing specialist support.

We can support you with fundraising ideas, promotional materials and help sharing your story across our website and social media channels.

Once again, congratulations and thank you to every one of our runners. You did something incredible—and every mile will help us continue making a difference.
