We’re thrilled to share that Blackadders Touch Rugby have chosen MS Research and Relief Fund (MSRRF) as their Charity of the Year for 2025!

Based in the North East, Blackadders Touch Rugby are a fantastic community team who combine sport, teamwork and fun — all while raising money for great causes. Throughout 2025, they’ve been organising a series of events and activities to raise vital funds for our charity.

Their fundraising plans included their annual charity competition, spring and winter leagues, and some exciting new challenges — all aimed at getting players and supporters involved in making a real difference.

At MSRRF, we provide a wide range of free services to help people with MS improve their physical, emotional and social wellbeing. From physiotherapy and exercise sessions to complementary therapies and grants, every pound raised by our supporters goes directly towards helping people manage their condition and enhance their quality of life.

We’re so grateful to the Blackadders team for choosing to support our charity this year — and for helping us raise awareness of MS and the work we do here in the North East and beyond.

Blackadders have chosen MS Research and Relief Fund after nomination by one of our players whom has a close family member with the condition. The charity do fantastic work to support people with the disease in the North East and we hope that through the year we can raise additional funding to help them continue this service.

MSRRF receives no statutory funding and relies entirely on donations, grants, and community fundraising to keep its services free. The charity is always looking to work with individuals, groups, and businesses across the North East who want to make a difference.
